VASJ improved to 6-2 on the season with a 66-56 win at Walsh Jesuit on Jan. 4.
Following a third-place finish in a competitive holiday tournament in Missouri, Jordan Calhoun hit 4 3s – three in the third quarter – to lead the Vikings to a win.
Seven Vikings scored in the win.
“I wasn’t pleased with our intensity or decision making, we have to develop a killer mentality if we want to be any good. Jordan saved us by making some threes and Jonah Waag’s floor game – 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals -was the difference,” VASJ coach Babe Kwasniak said.
“We’re looking forward to getting back to the Village tomorrow. It’s been a long time coming.”
VASJ hosts Warren JFK on Jan. 5.
