On Wednesday night, the Lady Vikings girls basketball faced off against the JFK Lady Falcons and broke their three-game losing streak with a 55-10 victory.
The Lady Vikings came out a little unsure of themselves in the first quarter, but quickly readjusted and began to play together as a team. Blacksheer, Smith, Ball, and Campbell all worked hard to get the Vikings’ offense going and each contributed between two and five points in the first quarter. Singleton came alive in the second quarter and hit nine of her 11 total points, while Blacksheer contributed four more. The Lady Falcons had difficulties running a strong offensive set to match the Lady Vikings’ throughout the game.
In the third quarter, the Lady Vikings outscored the Lady Falcons 17-2, with eight points from Smith and five more from Blacksheer to help secure their 55-10 victory over JFK.
The Lady Vikings are now 2-3 overall and will play Gilmour Academy at home on Saturday afternoon.
