Vikings News · VASJ Baseball – Vikings fall to Trinity in back-to-back games

The Viking Boys Baseball team were unable to bring the pleasant weather north with them from North Carolina. Fighting off the snowflakes and inclement weather,  the Vikings were unable to get their offense warmed up in back-to-back losses to Trinity.

On Monday, the Trojans put up crooked numbers in three of five innings on their way to a 13-1 rout of the Vikings at historic League Park. The Vikings were able to muster only three hits in their North Coast League opener with their lone RBI belonging to Andrew Oriani who also had a double.

The Vikings traveled to Trinity in hopes of splitting the series to no avail. The Vikings were able to keep it close until the Trojans exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning to send the Vikings home on the short end of an 11-1 score.  Kobie Parker, Owen Nunnally, and Jacob Smith each had two hits for the Vikings.

The Vikings look to get back in the win column on Wednesday as Warren JFK travels to tangle with the Vikings in their home opener.
