VASJ held Padua to seven points in the second half to rally for a 56-38 win over the Bruins on Dec. 12 at Viking Village.

Padua held a 31-29 advantage at halftime, but the Vikings clamped down on defense in the second half and rolled to a decisive victory.

Jaida Bates scored 11 of her team-high 13 points in the second half to lead VASJ.

Serena Saba scored nine points and Malia Ali added eight for the Vikings in the win.

Eleven VASJ players scored on the night as the Vikings ran past Padua in the second half, 27-7.

A 15-2 run in the third quarter by VASJ was enough to down the Bruins.
