VASJ GIRLS SOCCER – Vikings improve to 3-0 with wins over Bedford, Akron North

The VASJ girls soccer program continued its renaissance with a pair of wins over Bedford and Akron North.

The Vikings are 3-0 on the season.

In the 2-0 win over Bedford, Melanie Mitchell scored twice on a pair of assists by Lora Stewart.

In a 5-1 win over Akron North, Mitchell had a goal and three assists, Stewart scored twice, Danielle Tarsitano and Jordan Stanoch each had a goal for VASJ.

Jasmine Riddle had 18 saves over the two wins for the Vikings.

VASJ will attempt to start 4-0 for the first time since the 1990s when the Vikings host Shaw on Sept. 11.
